Gawura is so grateful to Michael O’Loughlin and Adman Goodes for their support of two of Gawura secondary students through their GO Foundation.

Stan in year 7 is our new GO Scholar.

He attended a beautiful smoking ceremony and evening with the GO Foundation recently.

The smoking ceremony was performed by the Tribal Warrior Association.  This sacred ceremony was used as a welcome to the new year for the new GO Scholars.  The smoke cleansed everyone there and showed our respect for people past and present.

Yvonne Weldon gave a very moving and heartfelt Acknowledgment of Country on behalf of the Metropolitan Land Council.  Yvonne is a proud Wiradjuri woman from Cowra.

The work GO are doing to create opportunities and change lives through education is amazing and Gawura are so grateful to be part of this and to work alongside GO!
