We all love Book Week at Gawura!

Book Week during the pandemic was a little different but still loads of fun. Sadly, we couldn’t have parents attend our annual parade, but kept everyone up to date and involved through photos on the Gawura Facebook page.

Gawura teachers outdid themselves this year doing an amazing job on their costumes! Dr Seuss would be delighted to see so many of his characters brought to life – we had favourites from The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham as well as the Grinch and Cindy Lou from How the Grinch Stole Christmas. 

We had some fantastic student costumes including Spiderman, Matilda, Harry Potter, Minions, Dora the Explorer, an astronaut and a bounty hunter.  

“Book Week was fun. We got to dress up and I won an award and got a Dymocks voucher.  I liked that people went creative” Tilly, year 4.

A huge congratulations and thanks to every Gawura family for their amazing efforts in dressing up the kids.
