Gawura Celebrates 2024 NAIDOC Week – Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud

This year’s annual NAIDOC Week assembly focused on the theme Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud.  It was a truly wonderful celebration of culture and pride and ancestry.

Across every generation, our Elders have played, and continue to play, an important role and hold a prominent place in our communities and families. And this is just as important within Gawura too.

Our Edlers are cultural knowledge holders, trailblazers, nurturers, advocates, teachers, survivors, leaders, hard workers and our loved ones.

This was a wonderful opportunity for you to join us as we celebrate our Elders within our community.
