As a part of National Reconciliation Week, Gawura had the honour of performing at the Souths vs Eels NRL game.

It was a full day of fun for Gawura students who arrived at the ground at midday to rehearse, had hot chips courtesy of Mr Ralph, and then performed as part of the pre-match entertainment in front of over 20,000 spectators.

The students were superb and their behaviour across the entire day was exemplary.

After the game students got to stand as the guard of honour on the field when the players ran out.

As most Gawura families are firm and dedicated Souths fans, it was a wonderful honour that brought many of our staff and families to tears.
